The day started out fine. Arrived nice and early, so no parking problems. The weather was ideal for a long run/race. It had been raining, but cleared for the start. The sun came out at times. A slight breeze started developing about ten miles, but then went away. This is a 4 lap course. Undulating in places and a hill 4-5 miles, so can and did knock me off my stride. Unfortunately there was two sets of road works, which was out of the hands of the organisers. The marshalling was good, but the mile markers were confusing. My time was 2.43.15
