12 North Herts Road Runners ran in the August Run of the Month, the Bearbrook 10km, which was based at Aylesbury Rugby Club. Although the first 6 and a half kilometers were uphill men’s club captain Pete Sibbett took advantage of the final downhill 4km to finish 3rd vet and lead the club home in 36.24. He was followed by Pete Scrowther 37.35, Gary Cook 38.21, Adrian Sherwood 38.55, John Franklin 41.13 and Martyn Annetts 41.59. In the ladies race Jane Chappell enjoyed her first road race following her Ironman last month to finish in 40.52 closely followed by ladies captain Tash Pitman 41.01. Suzy Trott recorded a season’s best 45.30 followed by Karen Dodsworth 48.10, Linda Aird 52.11 and Rachel Annetts 53.30.
