Runners enjoy the rain...

Forty-two North Herts Road Runners travelled to Wing, Leighton Buzzard on Sunday for their 2^nd race in the cross-country league. The 4.5 miles course was even more challenging due to the severe weather but the squirrels ran a superb race and finished third overall with 217 points.

 

Nick Beresford was the first man home in 13^th position, with Steve McKeown (14^th) close at his heels. Next for the team was Pete Sibbett 19^th then the tightly packed Mark Hutchinson 29^th, Ollie Saville 31^st, Gary Cook 32^nd,  and Pete Scrowther proved great team work yet again for the men’s team to come third on the day with 171 points.

 

Astrid McKeown led the ladies home finshing third, followed closely by Tash Pitman sixth and then Karen Dodsworth 37^th position to complete the ladies team to score 46, which gave them fourth place for the race.

 

NHRR look forward to hosting the third race of the league on Sunday 20th December.
