North Herts Road Runners set 5 Personal Bests racing at Wissey and Welwyn at the weekend. Two members enjoyed success at the Wissey Half Marathon in Norfolk with ladies’ captain Tash Pitman recording an excellent 1.28.14, just 1 second off her lifetime best, to finish 3rd lady. Adrian Sherwood, V40, was also in top form as he set a new personal best of 1.24.30 to finish 18th.
Six members raced the Garden City 10 with Nick Malpeli leading the club in with a new personal best of 66.10. Nick was closely followed by Tim Street who also set a PB with 66.47 and Alan Jones who finished 6th V50 in 68.42, also a PB! Chris Walby was the fourth athlete to break the 70 minute barrier finishing n 69.02 whilst Johnny Spinks recorded 76.50 and Colin Calcutt knocked a massive 3minutes off his previous best time finishing in 77.21.
