Keiron McGill
This event was hot and humid, held amongst the small village fete of Horndon on the Hill. I recorded a solid time of 38.09 and finished in 15th place which I was very happy about.
The course was certainly undulating - after starting in the village and down a sharp hill out of the village, we then turned a hairpin in the road and came back up the half-a-mile slog with the hill getting ever sharper to the top.
Once that was done with, after 2 miles, there were 2 mini loops around rural roads, with one long, gradual slope each lap. Mile 5 saw thick, sandy, and uneven farmtrack - before exiting the farm downhill, and into the last section, which finished halfway up the same steep climb.
Generally felt in good shape again after 2 weeks good training, and will try to get up the club soon!
